The University Cooperative School is a unique structure with a number of interesting features and construction challenges. In many areas the floors and ceilings are constructed of sistered together 2×8’s that span large distances of the structure. I’ve never seen that before. It’s pretty cool! A big solid mass of wood.
The biggest challenge with this project will be the schedule: school starts September 1st so there’s no time to waste! Employees and subcontractors alike are already pulling out all the stops to make things happen in a timely manner.
Check back weekly for updates on our progress.
